Get your nuc (nucleus) hive with an accepted, laying queen! These nucs contain five frames.  At least 4 frames will be populated with worker bees, an established queen, and an active broodnest.  They will be ready for pick up in Mount Vernon or Lynnville, Iowa around May 1-15.   This date can fluctuate slightly depending on the weather.  The queens this year will either be Italian/Carniolan hybrids, Carniolan, or Italians.  Queen type choices are not offered for nucs due to very limited queen supplies when nucs are started.
